My name is Peter Balanck and I have been presenting history workshops in UK schools for over six years.
My background is involved with history:
- Writing and publishing
- Working with ancient Roman and Greek coins
- Dealing in antiquities
- Designing and creating replica antique Jewellery
I also come from a family heavily involved with schools and teaching!
Every workshop is presented to the best of my ability. All of my relevant history resources are brought to every school – enough to fill eight tables – and I encourage the pupils to handle and examine everything. If some items get damaged or lost that is allowed for, and they are replaced.
Children never fail to impress and amaze – and I treat them with respect, patience and tolerance. As “hands-on” activities form a large part of my sessions, the workshops are especially suited to SEN pupils as well as those with higher ability.
You can always expect me to turn up in plenty of time and comply with the school rules and practices as well as any requests from teaches and other school staff.
In short, you can rely upon me to give a professionally presented and excellent workshop at all times!
